Feminist Scorecard

In collaboration with Oxfam Cymru, we regularly publish Feminist Scorecards which track the Welsh Government’s progress on gender equality and hold them to account.

The Feminist Scorecard Report 2022  shows a series of snapshots of Welsh Government’s performance in six key areas:

• • Fair Finance
  • Caring Responsibilities
  • Global Women’s Rights
  • Equal Representation & Leadership
  • Tackling Gender Health Inequalities
  • Ending Violence Against Women & Girls

While some positive steps have been made, two of the six areas considered (Fair Finance and Caring Responsibilities) have regressed from amber to red as progress was undone by the pandemic.

This is why we called for a Women’s Commissioner, who would champion and be the guardian of women’s rights in Wales.
