Mentoring

Mentoring for individuals

Women’s Equality Network (WEN) Wales wants to see equal representation for diverse women in political and public life. Our mentoring schemes and speed networking events aim to create the next generation of leaders and enable more women to take up positions of power. As a result of our first mentoring scheme, 46% of women participants were willing to stand as a political candidate and 23% are now trustees.

The scheme includes learning about how the Welsh Assembly and political parties work, how to get selected as a political candidate; a visit to the House of Parliament and hearing about how to be a trustee and be more active in public life. Women taking part in the scheme also receive mentoring from highly influential women. Applications open at the start of each year.

Join us today to be the first to know about these opportunities!

Mentoring for Women’s Groups

The Women’s Groups Mentoring Scheme is focused on grassroots women’s groups and aims to develop their strategy, governance and sustainability so that we have a more robust and sustainable women’s sector. The scheme includes time spent with a mentor for specific coaching and workshops on good governance, fundraising and strategic planning.

Speed Networking

Our unique, organised speed networking events give attendees the opportunity to connect with diverse influential women across the political, public and third sector. We hold a number of open events for our members but can also tailor events to suit your organisations’ needs to find dynamic, diverse women with brilliant skills.
