AGM and WEN Cafe: Wales Women’s Rights Manifesto
Join us online at 4pm on Tuesday 5th December for a WEN Cafe discussion on the new Wales Women’s Rights Manifesto for the UK General Election by the Gender Network, followed by our AGM. Book here.
The Gender Network is a policy forum of 80 third sector representatives, activists and academics fighting for women’s rights in Wales, run by WEN Wales. The GN is calling on all political parties and candidates to put gender equality at the heart of the election and UK policy making. Our manifesto covers six areas where we need to see political parties acting to protect and advance gender equality in Wales.
- Fair finance
- Caring responsibilities
- Representation and leadership
- Tackling gender health inequalities
- Ending violence against women and girls
- Women’s rights
Starting from 4pm, members of the Gender Network will taken part in a WEN Cafe discussion introducing the manifesto’s policy asks and recommendations. This session will be followed by WEN Wales’ AGM at 5:15pm, open to members only.
