WEN Mentoring launch
Thank you to all of our Mentors and new Mentees who joined us to launch our new Mentoring scheme last week at the Norwegian Church in Cardiff Bay.
Ann Jones AM, Deputy Presiding Office opened the day for us, emphasising why we were all there – a mentoring scheme to get more women into Political and Public life.
We then heard from lots of inspiring welsh women including Julie James AM, Leader of the House & Chief Whip, with responsibility for Equalities, Sophie Howe Future Generations Comissioner, Sian Gwenllian AM, Eluned Morgan AM, Shan Morgan – Welsh Government Permanent Secretary, Jess Blair – Director of the Electoral Reform Society, Helen Molyneux – Chair of IWA, Founder & CEO of NewLaw Solicitors and Professor Meena Upadhyaya, Medical Geneticist.
Also a big thank you to Catrin Stevens, Historian at the Women’s Archive of Wales who took us through Women’s role and impact they have had in Welsh history and London Metropolitan University’s Diana Stirbu for the evaluation and feedback.
Take a look at some of the pictures below and keep an eye out on our social pages for more highlights as the scheme continues.
