EMWWAA Awards success for team WEN
On Saturday 13th May members of team WEN were delighted to attend the Ethnic Minority Welsh Women Achievement Association (EMWWAA) Awards to celebrate all the nominees and to support two shortlisted members of the team, Evelyn James and Joys Njini.
On the night, Diverse5050 Campaign Manager Evelyn was announced as a winner in her Management and Leadership category and we all wish her many congratulations on this accolade for her passionate and tireless work for diverse and equal leadership in Welsh politics.
Equal Power Equal Voice (EPEV) mentoring programme Manager Joys was shortlisted in the Social and Humanitarian category – another wonderful achievement and recognition of her work leading the EPEV cross-equalities mentoring scheme to diversify Welsh public and political life, and of her advocacy for refugee women and children.
Congratulations to all the nominees and winners of this awards ceremony that shines a much-needed and deserved spotlight on the work and achievements of ethnic minority Welsh women.
