Dilys Elwyn-Edwards

Born in Dolgellau, Dilys Roberts gained her BMus after gaining a Joseph Parry Scholarship at the University College in Cardiff. Her most recognised composition is Mae Hiraeth yn y Môr which was commissioned by the BBC in 1961. She taught music in England and Wales, was a regular adjudicator at eisteddfodau and appeared on radio and television.
