  • Annmarie Brown

    Mentoring Project Officer

    Annmarie is the Mentoring Project Officer for the Equal Power Equal Voice Mentoring Programme: a cross-equalities programme that aims to increase representation of diverse people in power so that our political and public institutions better reflect the diverse citizens of Wales.

    Annmarie is a passionate advocate for equality and social justice, and is committed to promoting inclusion and diversity in all areas of her work and life.  She has a broad range of experience of working with a range of diverse individuals, in a variety of settings including education, criminal justice, and third sector organisations.

  • Megan Evans

    Head of Communications and Engagement

    Megan has worked in the Welsh equalities sector since graduating with an MA from the University of Lyon. In her previous role she managed the communications of a major project for Learning Disability Wales, supporting young people with learning disabilities and/or autism into employment. She is passionate about gender equality, intersectional feminism, LGBT rights, and racial justice.

  • Shannon Gossage

    Partnerships & Fundraising Manager

    Shannon is the Partnerships & Fundraising Manager; her role is to develop and encourage the success of our fundraising campaigns to ensure that WEN can continue to champion equality in Wales. Before joining WEN, Shannon was the Regional Fundraiser in Sheffield for Bluebell Wood Children’s Hospice.

    Throughout her extensive fundraising career, Shannon has raised vital funds for children’s development, hospice care and cancer treatment. She has a BA in English Literature, but also decided to study a Level 5 Diploma in Teaching English as a Foreign Language to support non-native English speakers voluntarily. Shannon has worked and volunteered in England, Australia, Canada, Mexico and most recently Wales! She is a passionate and avid supporter of the change that WEN Wales is achieving for intersectional feminism.

  • Evelyn James

    Diverse5050 Campaign Manager

    Evelyn James is the Diverse5050 Campaign Manager at Women’s Equality Network (WEN) Wales. She is a Legal Practitioner from Nigeria. She holds an MA in Development Studies – Social Justice perspectives at Erasmus University, Netherlands and an LLM in LegalTech at Swansea University, Wales.

    She advocates for justice and social change, conflict research, and peace resolution mechanisms. Evelyn was the project manager for the Women Empowerment Team at the Centre for African Justice, the Hague, Netherlands. She remains focused on her drive to effect positive change, tackle inequality, and advance an equal and all-inclusive society for all.

  • Jessica Laimann

    Policy and Public Affairs Manager

    Jessica leads on WEN’s policy work and coordinates campaign and influencing activity in partnership with our members. She has policy experience in devolved and local government as well as a strong research background. Prior to starting at WEN, she coordinated regional and all-Wales local authority partnership working, completed a placement in the Senedd Research Service and gained a PhD in philosophy. She is passionate about driving change that delivers equal opportunity and authority for all women in Wales.

  • Joys Njini

    Mentoring Project Manager

    Joys is the Mentoring Project Manager for Equal Power Equal Voice programme, a cross-equalities programme that aims to promote and increase diverse representation in public and political life in Wales.

    Joys has extensive experience within the Third Sector, supporting and empowering asylum-seeking and refugee women in Wales through her previous role at WSSAG Wales. She is passionate about social justice, equality and women’s empowerment. She is a strong advocate for human rights and has actively supported refugee women and children in Cameroon and Nigeria, through advocacy and fundraising. A former WEN Mentee herself, she is committed to promoting equality and empowerment through her current role and beyond.
