State of the Nation
State of the Nation
Every year since 2019, Chwarae Teg made available a gender equality report; State of the Nation.
These reports have allowed us to keep track on where across the nation employment, pay and gender equality gaps have been most prevalent. In the data we can look and see who are being left behind and what solutions might help uplift the most marginalized members of our national community to a place of equal footing.
Following Chwarae Teg’s closure, WEN Wales have been awarded the opportunity to carry on the vital work.
Annual Gender Equality Report
Gender equality is something we are striving towards, which is why we are continuing the work of Chwarae Teg and making available each gender equality report from their archive – as well as releasing new reports from WEN Wales annually from 2024.
We want to see a Wales free from gender discrimination. By keeping track of the changes and trends in our data we can see how close we are to achieving parity, diverse representation and gender equality across key industry sectors.
The State of the Nation gender equality report looks at the nations earnings, paying particular attention to the gender pay gap; economic activity and inactivity; employment and unemployment rate; small business leaders; C-suite gender splits and much more.
